Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Part (a) · 1 mark

State the mathematical name of the polygon shown in the diagram.

  1. 1Count the number of sides of the polygon.

Answeroctagon

Part (b) · 1 mark

Read the number line marked 100, 200, 300, 400 and write the value the arrow points to.

  1. 1Look at the sequence: 100, 200, 300, 400.
  2. 2The numbers increase by 100 each time.
  3. 3The arrow points to the number between 200 and 300.
  4. 4200 + 40 = 240.

Answer240

Part (c) · 1 mark

From clock faces A, B, C, D, identify which one shows quarter to five.

  1. 1Quarter to five means 4:45.
  2. 2Clock face A shows 3:15.
  3. 3Clock face B shows 9:15.
  4. 4Clock face C shows 4:45.
  5. 5Clock face D shows 6:30.
  6. 6So, clock face C shows quarter to five.

AnswerC

Part (d) · 1 mark
