Part (a) · 3 marks

Find the circumference of the circle with area 36π cm², giving the answer in terms of π.

  1. 1πr² = 36π, so r² = 36
  2. 2r = 6 cm
  3. 3Circumference = 2 × π × 6 = 12π cm

Answer12π

Part (b) · 2 marks
