The question, in short
Two similar solid steel statues have heights 12 cm and 15 cm; the larger has mass 2.5 kg and steel density 8 g/cm³. Find the smaller statue's volume.
Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.
Solution · 4 marks
- 1Volume (and mass) scale factor = (12/15)³ = 0.512
- 2Mass of smaller statue = 2500 g × 0.512 = 1280 g
- 3Volume = mass ÷ density = 1280 ÷ 8
- 4= 160 cm³
