Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 23 (Extended) · Non-calculator · 4 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

A cyclic quadrilateral has angles y°, m°, (m + 10)° and p° with p : m = 2 : 3; use opposite angles adding to 180° to find y.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 4 marks

  1. 1Opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral add to 180°, so p + m = 180
  2. 2m = 3/(3 + 2) × 180 = 108 (and p = 72)
  3. 3m + 10 = 118
  4. 4y = 180 − 118 = 62
