Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606 · Paper 23 (Calculator) · Calculator · 4 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

A straight line through (2, 5) and (10, 21) is obtained when √y is plotted against x³. Find y in terms of x.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Solution · 4 marks

  1. 1√y = mx³ + c
  2. 2m = (21 − 5)/(10 − 2) = 2
  3. 35 = 2(2) + c, so c = 1
  4. 4√y = 2x³ + 1
  5. 5y = (2x³ + 1)²

Answery = (2x³ + 1)²
