Cambridge O Level Mathematics 4024 · Paper 22 (Calculator) · Calculator · 2 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Using a diagram of three parallel horizontal lines crossed by two parallel slanted lines, with angles y°, 128° and x° marked, find the values of x and y.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 2 marks

  1. 1y = 128 (corresponding angles, using both pairs of parallel lines)
  2. 2128° and x° are co-interior angles between the middle and bottom parallel lines
  3. 3x = 180 − 128 = 52
  4. 4x = 52, y = 128

Answerx = 52, y = 128
