Cambridge O Level Mathematics 4024 · Paper 12 (Non-calculator) · Non-calculator · 2 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Using a circle with centre O, tangent PBQ at B, straight line OCQ, angle BQO = 36° and angle BAC = x°, find x.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 2 marks

  1. 1Angle OBQ = 90° (tangent is perpendicular to radius)
  2. 2Angle BOQ = 180 − 90 − 36 = 54°
  3. 3Angle BAC = 1/2 × angle BOC (angle at centre is twice angle at circumference)
  4. 4x = 54 ÷ 2 = 27
