Solution · 4 marks

  1. 1A 15% fall multiplies by 0.85; let each yearly rise multiply by x
  2. 20.85 × x² = 1.0285, so x² = 1.0285 ÷ 0.85 = 1.21
  3. 3x = √1.21 = 1.1
  4. 4A multiplier of 1.1 is a percentage increase of 10
