Two teams have mean scores after 11 and 9 rounds; after one more round both means are 18.5. Find how many more points Team A scored than Team B in that round.

- 1Team A: total after 11 rounds = 17 × 11 = 187; after 12 = 18.5 × 12 = 222
- 2Team A scored 222 − 187 = 35 in the further round
- 3Team B: 18 × 9 = 162; after 10 = 18.5 × 10 = 185, so B scored 23
- 435 − 23 = 12
