  1. 1600 ÷ (9 + 4 + 2) = 40
  2. 2Tulip bulbs: 9 × 40 = 360
  3. 3Crocus bulbs: 4 × 40 = 160
  4. 4Daffodil bulbs: 2 × 40 = 80
  5. 5Yellow tulips: 45% of 360 = 0.45 × 360 = 162
  6. 6Yellow crocuses: 5/8 of 160 = (5 ÷ 8) × 160 = 100
  7. 7Yellow daffodils: all 80
  8. 8Total yellow bulbs: 162 + 100 + 80 = 342
