اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Using a circle with centre O and points A, B, C on it, where angle BAO is 36° and angle BCO is 21°, determine the size of angle ACO.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 3 marks

  1. 1OA = OB = OC (radii), so angle ABO = 36° and angle CBO = 21°
  2. 2Angle ABC = 36 + 21 = 57°
  3. 3Angle AOC = 2 × 57 = 114° (angle at centre)
  4. 4Triangle AOC is isosceles: angle ACO = (180 − 114) ÷ 2
  5. 5= 33°
