Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 22 (Extended) · Calculator · 4 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Solve two linear equations: one in t with terms on both sides, and one in u given as a fraction equal to 2.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Part (a) · 2 marks

Solve 15t + 8 = 4 − t for t.

  1. 115t + t = 4 − 8
  2. 216t = −4
  3. 3t = −1/4

Answer−1/4

Part (b) · 2 marks

Solve (25 − 2u)/3 = 2 for u.

  1. 125 − 2u = 3 × 2 = 6
  2. 22u = 19
  3. 3u = 9.5

Answer9.5
