Solution · 5 marks
- 1Multiply by (x + 1)(x + 9): x + 9 + 9(x + 1) = (x + 1)(x + 9)
- 210x + 18 = x² + x + 9x + 9
- 30 = x² − 9
- 4x² = 9
- 5x = 3 or x = −3
Answerx = 3 or x = −3
