Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 21 (Extended) · Calculator · 4 marks
اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←
The question, in short
Using triangle UVW with UW = 62.4 km, UV = 27.3 km, U due west of V and angle UVW = 125°, work out the bearing of U as seen from W.
Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.
Solution · 4 marks
- 1sin UWV / 27.3 = sin 125 / 62.4
- 2sin UWV = 27.3 × sin 125 ÷ 62.4 = 0.3583…, so UWV = 21.0°
- 3Angle WUV = 180 − 125 − 21.0 = 34.0°
- 4Bearing of W from U = 90 − 34.0 = 56.0°
- 5Bearing of U from W = 56.0 + 180 = 236°
