Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 23 (Extended) · Calculator · 3 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Given that y varies inversely with the cube root of (x + 5), and y = 12 when x = 3, work out the value of y at x = 22.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Solution · 3 marks

  1. 1y = k/∛(x + 5)
  2. 212 = k/∛(3 + 5) = k/2, so k = 24
  3. 3y = 24/∛(22 + 5) = 24/3
  4. 4y = 8
