Solution · 4 marks

  1. 145 ÷ (2 + 3) = 9
  2. 2Red = 2 × 9 = 18, green = 3 × 9 = 27
  3. 3New red = 18 + 4 = 22, so new green = 22 × 2 = 44
  4. 4x = 44 − 27 = 17
