The question, in short
Using a grouped frequency table for 145 wire lengths, work out the missing histogram bar heights for the 90 < L ≤ 100, 100 < L ≤ 115 and 115 < L ≤ 120 classes, given that 70 < L ≤ 90 has height 4 cm.
Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.
Solution · 3 marks
- 1Frequency densities: 40 ÷ 20 = 2, 35 ÷ 10 = 3.5, 45 ÷ 15 = 3, 25 ÷ 5 = 5
- 2Height 4 cm for density 2, so height = 2 × density
- 3Heights: 7, 6, 10
Answer7, 6, 10
