The question, in short
From a net with edge lengths 3, 5.2 and 4.7 cm, find the cuboid's total surface area and state how many planes of symmetry it has.
Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.
Part (a) · 2 marks
Calculate the total surface area of the cuboid using the three given edge lengths.
- 1Surface area = 2 × (3 × 5.2 + 4.7 × 5.2 + 3 × 4.7)
- 2= 2 × (15.6 + 24.44 + 14.1) = 2 × 54.14
- 3= 108.28 cm²
Answer108.28
Part (b) · 1 mark
