اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Using a quadrilateral ABCD with a right angle at B, an equilateral triangle ADE, straight line DCF, angle ADC = 135° and angle BCF = 108°, find angle EAB, justifying each step.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 5 marks

  1. 1Angle EAD = 60 (equilateral triangle)
  2. 2Angle BCD = 180 − 108 = 72 (angles on a straight line add up to 180°)
  3. 3Angle BAD = 360 − (135 + 72 + 90) = 63 (angles in a quadrilateral add up to 360°)
  4. 4Angle EAB = 60 + 63 = 123
