Part (a) · 1 mark
Identify which fraction from the list gives a non-terminating decimal when converted.
- 1Check which fraction has a denominator with prime factors not just 2 or 5.
- 22/3: denominator 3 has prime factor 3, so it does not terminate.

Answer2/3
Part (b) · 1 mark
State the two fractions in the list that are equal in value.
- 1Simplify each fraction.
- 24/5 = 0.8

- 4So 4/5 and 12/15 are equivalent.
Answer4/5 and 12/15
