Give the coordinates of point P from the grid.

Give the coordinates of point Q from the grid.

  1. 1Read the x-coordinate of Q as −4
  2. 2Read the y-coordinate of Q as 3
  3. 3(−4, 3)

Answer(−4, 3)

Part (b) · 1 mark

Mark point S with a cross so that PQRS forms a rectangle.

  1. 1Use the fact that opposite sides of a rectangle are equal and parallel
  2. 2From P to Q: move left 6, down 3
  3. 3From R to S: move right 6, up 3 from (−2, −1)
  4. 4(−2 + 6, −1 + 3) = (4, 2)
  5. 5Mark cross at (4, 2)
