اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

On a 1 cm² grid, complete the net of a right-angled triangular prism with triangular sides 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm and length 6 cm, given one face already drawn.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 3 marks

  1. 1The drawn 6 × 3 rectangle is one face; the other faces are a 6 × 4 rectangle, a 6 × 5 rectangle and two 3-4-5 right-angled triangles
  2. 2Draw the 6 cm × 4 cm rectangle and the 6 cm × 5 cm rectangle joined along the 6 cm edges, in a strip with the 6 × 3 rectangle
  3. 3Draw a right-angled triangle with sides 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm at each end of the strip, on opposite sides of a rectangle, so the triangle edges match the rectangle edges
