Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 33 (Core) · Calculator · 5 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Using a scale drawing where 1 cm represents 2.5 km, find the real distance from S to P, measure a bearing, and plot point E.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Part (a) · 2 marks

Measure the drawn length of SP in cm and convert it to the actual distance in km using the scale.

  1. 1SP measures 6.5 cm on the drawing
  2. 2Distance = 6.5 × 2.5 = 16.25 km

Answer16.25 (accept 15.75 to 16.75)

Part (b) · 1 mark

Measure the bearing of S from P using the North arrow at P.

  1. 1Measure clockwise from the North line at P to the line PS
  2. 2Bearing of S from P = 142°

Answer142 (accept 140 to 144)

Part (c) · 2 marks

Convert 20 km to a drawing length, then mark E from P at a bearing of 070°.

  1. 1PE on the drawing = 20 ÷ 2.5 = 8 cm
  2. 2Measure 070° clockwise from North at P and draw a line
  3. 3Mark E on this line 8 cm from P

AnswerE correctly placed
