Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 43 (Extended) · Calculator · 5 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

On a grid from x −4 to 5 and y −2 to 7, shade out unwanted regions and label the region R satisfying y < 3, x ≤ 2 and y < x + 3.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 5 marks

  1. 1Draw the line y = 3 (horizontal, broken since y < 3) and shade above it
  2. 2Draw x = 2 (vertical, solid since x ≤ 2) and shade to the right of it
  3. 3Draw y = x + 3 through (−3, 0) and (0, 3) (broken since y < x + 3) and shade above it
  4. 4Leave unshaded the region left of x = 2, below y = 3 and below y = x + 3, and label it R
