Solution · 5 marks
- 115a + 10p = 42.5 and 4a + 5p = 16
- 2Double the second: 8a + 10p = 32
- 3Subtract: 7a = 10.5, so a = 1.5
- 44 × 1.5 + 5p = 16, so 5p = 10, p = 2
- 5Apple $1.50, Pear $2.00
AnswerApple $1.50, Pear $2.00
