Cambridge O Level Mathematics 4024 · Paper 12 (Non-calculator) · Non-calculator · 2 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

From a speed–time graph, find the total distance travelled by the car over 150 seconds, using the line falling from 20 m/s to 14 m/s then staying at 14 m/s.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and the diagram.

Solution · 2 marks

  1. 1Distance = area under the graph
  2. 20 to 100 s: trapezium = 1/2 × (20 + 14) × 100 = 1700 m
  3. 3100 to 150 s: rectangle = 14 × 50 = 700 m
  4. 4Total = 1700 + 700 = 2400 m
