Cambridge O Level Mathematics 4024 · Paper 11 (Non-calculator) · Non-calculator · 3 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Solve the simultaneous equations 2x + 3y = 7 and x − 6y = 6, showing all working.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Solution · 3 marks

  1. 1From x − 6y = 6: x = 6 + 6y
  2. 22(6 + 6y) + 3y = 7
  3. 312 + 15y = 7, so 15y = −5, y = −1/3
  4. 4x = 6 + 6 × (−1/3) = 4
  5. 5x = 4, y = −1/3

Answerx = 4 and y = −1/3
