Cambridge O Level Mathematics 4024 · Paper 22 (Calculator) · Calculator · 3 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Using a 500 m distance rounded to the nearest 5 m and a time of 24.7 s rounded to the nearest 0.1 s, work out the smallest possible value of Zara's average speed.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Solution · 3 marks

  1. 1Lower bound of distance = 500 − 2.5 = 497.5 m
  2. 2Upper bound of time = 24.7 + 0.05 = 24.75 s
  3. 3Lower bound of speed = 497.5 ÷ 24.75
  4. 4= 20.10… m/s

Answer20.1 or 20.10…
