Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Part (a) · 1 mark

Identify the most common number of visits from the frequency column.

  1. 1The frequency for 3 visits is 20, which is the highest frequency.
  2. 2Therefore, the mode is 3.

Answer3

Part (b) · 2 marks

Calculate the pie chart sector angle for the 1-visit frequency out of 60 members.

  1. 112 members had 1 visit.
  2. 2Total members = 60.
  3. 3Angle per member = 360° ÷ 60 = 6°.
  4. 4Angle for 12 members = 12 × 6 = 72°.

Answer72

Part (c) · 2 marks

Calculate 35% of 60 to find members aged 50 or over.

  1. 135% of 60 = (35/100) × 60.
  2. 2(35 × 60) ÷ 100 = 2100 ÷ 100 = 21.
