Walking is 18 people at 90°; use this to find how many people correspond to the 150° for running.

Part (b) · 3 marks
Cycling is 15 people; using the pie chart total, work out how many answered swimming.
- 1Walking: 18 people = 90°, so each person = 90 ÷ 18 = 5°
- 2Cycling angle = 15 × 5 = 75°
- 3Swimming angle = 360 − 90 − 150 − 75 = 45°
- 4Swimming people = 45 ÷ 5 = 9
