Solution · 4 marks

  1. 1Length scale factor B to A: 18.6 : 31 = 3 : 5
  2. 2Volume ratio B : A = 3³ : 5³ = 27 : 125
  3. 3Difference 125 − 27 = 98 parts = 735 cm³
  4. 4One part = 735 ÷ 98 = 7.5
  5. 5Volume of A = 125 × 7.5 = 937.5
