Solution · 3 marks

  1. 1Total of nine numbers = 9 × 17 = 153
  2. 2Sum of other two = 153 − 132 = 21
  3. 3x + (x + 5) = 21 so 2x = 16, x = 8
  4. 4The two numbers are 8 and 13
