Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 · Paper 22 (Extended) · Calculator · 4 marks

اقرأ هذا الحل مشروحاً بالعربي ←

The question, in short

Solve y = x + 1 with y = x² + x − 3 to find the coordinates of both intersection points.

Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Solution · 4 marks

  1. 1x + 1 = x² + x − 3
  2. 2x² − 4 = 0, so x = 2 or x = −2
  3. 3x = 2: y = 3; x = −2: y = −1
  4. 4(2, 3) and (−2, −1)

Answer(2, 3) and (−2, −1)
