The question, in short
Students' reaction times are grouped in a table with frequencies 18 and 16 for intervals 0 < t ≤ 6 and 6 < t ≤ 10. Given a histogram block height of 7.5 cm for the first interval, find the height for the second.
Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.
Solution · 2 marks
- 1Frequency densities: 18 ÷ 6 = 3 and 16 ÷ 4 = 4
- 2Height per unit of frequency density = 7.5 ÷ 3 = 2.5 cm
- 3Height = 4 × 2.5 = 10 cm
