Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Solution · 4 marks

  1. 1y = (5 − 2x)/(x + 3)
  2. 2(x + 3)y = 5 − 2x
  3. 3xy + 3y = 5 − 2x
  4. 4xy + 2x = 5 − 3y
  5. 5x(y + 2) = 5 − 3y
  6. 6x = (5 − 3y)/(y + 2)

Answer(5 − 3y)/(y + 2)
