Summarised in our own words. Use the official paper for the exact wording and any diagrams.

Part (a) · 1 mark

Write down the probability that the randomly chosen car is red.

  1. 110 out of 29 cars are red, so probability = 10/29

Answer10/29

Part (b) · 2 marks

Work out the probability that the chosen car is blue, using the given white probability.

  1. 1Total cars = 29
  2. 2Red cars = 10
  3. 3White cars = 7
  4. 4Blue cars = 29 − 10 − 7 = 12
  5. 5Probability of blue car = 12/29
