Part (a) · 2 marks
Using the table probabilities for Assam, Darjeeling and Rize, work out the probability of picking Nilgiri.
- 1The four probabilities add up to 1.
- 20.38 + 0.24 + 0.16 = 0.78
- 3Nilgiri = 1 − 0.78 = 0.22
Answer0.22
Part (b) · 2 marks

- 1For Darjeeling or Rize, add their probabilities.
- 20.24 + 0.16 = 0.4
Answer0.4
