- 17 metres = 7 × 100 = 700 centimetres
- 2Ribbon used on the 2 large parcels = 2 × 185 = 370 centimetres
- 3Ribbon left for the 3 small parcels = 700 − 370 = 330 centimetres
- 4Each small parcel uses 330 ÷ 3 = 110 centimetres
- 5p = 110
